ASCENSO AL CHACHANI - 02 DAYS /01 NIGHTS

This volcano is famous in Arequipa and in Peru for being considered one of the protectors of the city Arequipa and because the "Sillar" is extracted, a volcanic stone of white color that is used for the construction of the churches and colonial houses.

Itinerary

DAY 01: AREQUIPA / BASE CAMP (5300 m.n.m.)
8:00 am. We start from Arequipa in 4x4 transport, which will take us to a height of approximately 4500 m.s.n.m. From there we will start the walk of approx. 2 hours until reaching a height of approx. From 5300 m.s.n.m. where we will camp ("Azufrera").

DAY 02: CAMPAMENTO BASE / CUMBRE / AREQUIPA
04:00 a.m. we will begin the ascent to the summit, which will take approx. 6 hours, then at a height of 6075 m.s.n.m. Enjoy a spectacular view
Descent to the base camp, we collect things and continue until we find mobility and return to the city.
