Hatun Machay is a forest of stones located in the Cordillera Negra. The rock that we find there is granite eroded by water, wind and glaciers.

Itinerary
We go to the south of the city of Huaraz, passing the towns of Recuay, Ticapampa, Catac, later we make a detour towards the Cordillera Negra; once arrived at the control point we walk for 15 or 20 min. Approx. towards the stone forest of Hatun Machay.
Once in the forest you can see cave paintings, petroglyphs and different rock formations.
Hatun Machay is a rock hatunmachay school for lovers of this sport; Here you can find a variety of routes between 15 and 60 meters. Return to the city of Huaraz.
