HUANCHACO- 03 DAYS /02 NIGHTS

DAY 01: HUANCHACO IN Transfer to the hotel in Huanchaco.This day, you can enjoy walking in this magic fishermen town, or by the shore of the beach, and the pier, or just go up to the Advantage Point and the church, or just try the delicious typical dishes of Huanchaco. Relax while watching the sunset, and how the totora reed boats (little totora horses) return from the sea to the beach. Overnight in Huanchaco.

DAY 02: CITY TOUR TRUJILLO / TOUR HUACAS SOL Y LUNA / TOUR CHAN CHAN
Transfer from Huanchaco to Trujillo to start a colonial city tour. We visit: Plaza de Armas (Main Square), The Cathedral, Calonge Urquiaga House, Emancipación House, Plazuela el Recreo, The Iturregui Palace and la Merced Church. After having a glance of the city, we start an archaeological excursion to discover the Moche and Chimu cultures. We head to Moche Countryside,. and visit the Huacas de Moche Museum, that holds important ceramics that tell us about the muchik iconography. We continue and visit the Huaca de la Luna (Pyramid or Temple of the Moon), religious center, which has polycrome walls, with high reliefs depicting the AIAPAEC (the god of the Moche people), warriors, dancers, etc. From here we can see the great Huaca del Sol (Pyramid or temple of the Sun) , 43 meters high, built for administrative purposes. Also we can see the Urban moche area, place where the moche royalty used to live. We now start to find out about the Chimu culture, visiting the Temple of the Rainbow also called Temple of the Dragon, used by the ancient Chimu people to worship their god, this temple is decorated with figures representing the fertility of the Earth. We visit the site museum of Chan Chan, where we will learn about pottery, silverware and lifestyle of the chimu people. Then we will go through one the 9 palaces of Chan Chan Citadel, the Nikan Palace (ex Tschudi Palace), which has different rooms decorated with friezes and carvings like the ceremonial center, the fish and birds corridor, the Huachaque (reservoir) ,among others. Overnight in Huanchacoo.

DAY 03: HUANCHAQUERO DAY / HUANCHACO OUT
Free day to relax. This day you can practice surfing or just enjoy the sea and the beach, or watch the surfers ride the waves. At an appropriate time, transfer to the airport or bus terminal.
