The Churup Lagoon is a beautiful lagoon of turquoise color and cold temperature that is also one of the most visited and that includes a popular trekking route.

Itinerary
This is a very good hike for acclimatization. We leave from Huaraz and we go by car to the village of Pitec.
On the way we pass several beautiful villages, such as Unchus and Llupa (3450 meter over sea) we start our easy hike up to Lake Churup Churup is over 4450 m underneath snow-capped Mount Churup (5495). The last 100 meter before arriving to the lake involves some scrambling over steep rocks
