THE MOCHE ROUTE- 03 DAYS/02 NIGHTS (FROM TRUJILLO)

DAY 01: TRUJILLO IN / TOUR TEMPLE OF THE SUN AND THE MOON / CHAN CHAN/ HUANCHACO
Reception at the bus or airport agency and transfer to the hotel. Pick up from your hotel. Start of the tour and departure to the Campiña de Moche. We visit the Huacas de Moche Museum, which has ceramic pieces that show the Moche iconography. Then visit the Huaca de la Luna, Moche religious center, full of high relief murals with the representation of their god AIAPAEC or The Decapitator, warriors, dancers, animals, giant spiders, abstract motifs, etc. From here we will appreciate the Huaca del Sol, a pyramid 43 meters high, built for administrative purposes. Also the Mochica Urban Zone, which was the area where high society of the Moches lived. Lunch. Departure to Huaca Arco Iris (Huaca Dragon), used as a shrine by the ancient Chimu, decorated with figures representative of the fertility of the earth. We visit the Chan Chan Site Museum, where we can see the lifestyle of the Chimu settlers, pottery and goldsmith's pieces. We will visit one of the 9 Palaces of the citadel of Chan Chan, the Nikan Palace (former Tschudi Palace), which has different environments with friezes of various marine motifs, such as: Ceremonial Square, Fish and Bird Corridor, among others. Finally we will go to the Balneario de Huanchaco, here the legend tells that Takaynamo, the first king of the chimus, disembarked next to his court. We can buy crafts, see the reed horses and walk along the pier. Return to Trujillo. Arrival to Trujillo. Overnight in Trujillo.

DAY 02: TOUR LORD OF SIPAN (HUACA RAJADA + TUCUME PYRAMIDS + MUSEUM ROYAL TOMBS OF SIPAN)
Transfer from the hotel to the bus agency. Bus Trujillo - Chiclayo. Arrival in Chiclayo and transfer to the city center. Start of the excursion to the Huaca Rajada Archaeological Complex (Tumba Sipán), where the Lord of Sipán was found. Visit to the site museum, which displays command ornaments of the Guerrero Priest, whose remains can be seen in a showcase, as well as its ornaments and jewelry. Departure to the Archaeological Complex Pirámides de Túcume, located in the Valle de la Leche, which houses 26 adobe pyramids that testify to the most exceptional period of the Lambayeque culture. We will also visit the Túcume Site Museum, where models of the huacas (pyramids) of the archaeological complex and archaeological pieces found during the excavations are exhibited. We will go up to the viewpoint of Cerro La Raya (Cerro Purgatorio), from where we will have a spectacular view of the valley and the pyramids. Lunch. We continue the tour with the Royal Tombs of the Lord of Sipán Museum in Lambayeque, where the original remains of the Lord of Sipan are exhibited, as well as its more than 400 pieces including: earmuffs, necklaces, jewelry, ornaments and headdresses worked in gold, silver , turquoises, spondyllus, cotton and feathers. DAY 03: TOUR THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL COMPLEX "EL BRUJO" AND THE LADY OF CAO
Departure to Valle Chicama, during the trip we will pass Cerro Campana, sugarcane fields, former haciendas, and villages of the valley, until we reach the town of Magdalena de Cao to visit El Brujo Archaeological Complex, which is made up of Huaca Prieta, Huaca Partida (Huaca el Brujo), and Huaca Cao Viejo with decorations in high relief of God Aiapaec represented in the murals, here was also the Lady of Cao, who was possibly the ruler and priestess of the place. In the Cao Museum are exhibited the pieces found in the tomb of the Lady of Cao (Jewels in gold, silver and precious stones, ceramics, etc.). We will also observe the mummy of the Lady of Cao, with tattoos of snakes and spiders on the arms and legs, incredibly well preserved, which are appreciated in detail. Arrival to Trujillo. Free afternoon for shopping and personal activities. Timely transfer to the bus or airport agency.
