MOUNTAIN BIKE PUNTA CALLAN

This route is located 30 km west of the city of Huaraz, in the Cordillera Negra, an hour by car from Huaraz; that you can climb on a bicycle (3 hours approx.), for which you need a good acclimatization and resistance in the legs. From Punta Callán, you have a very good view of much of the Cordillera Blanca. Your eyes will be grateful for so much beauty. For the descent we have 2 roads to take; through the same road we climbed (which is very easy) and through rural roads (downhill), passing by small towns and farms full of sembryas. The descent lasts approx. 2 hours, maybe less, but it is better to stop in some sections to see the panorama or take some photos. And then for the last stretch take the asphalted and direct track to Huaraz.

BRING

Fresh clothing and lycra type adjusted to the body for better handling.
Cap for the sun
Rehydrating drinks or water (2 liters approx).
Shoes or walking shoes, with good cocada preferably plant vibram.
Sunscreen.
Sunglasses.
Elbow and knee pads (for safety)
Photographic camera
