KINGDOM OF THE CHACHAPOYAS

Itinerary

DAY 1: FORTALEZA DE KUÉLAP
Departure from Chachapoyas 08:00 am, for the visit to the Kuélap archaeological monument, with a technical stop at the lookout point of the archaeological remains of Marco to explain the function of said archaeological remains, then we will continue our journey to the fortified citadel of Kuélap, visit approximately three hours, return to the parking lot, then continue our tour to the town of Mary where we will have lunch, then return to the city of Chachapoyas, spend the night in the chosen hotel.

DAY 2: CATARATA GOCTA
Departure at eight thirty in the morning to the community of Cocachimba from where we will start our trek to the third highest waterfall in the world, enjoying the landscape and the dense forest typical of the high jungle, habitat of Gallito de las Rocas, hummingbird, yellow tail monkey Yellow among other birds and animals of the place (duration of walk approximately 5 hours between round trip) arrival, visit and taking pictures, then return to the community of Cocachimba to return to the city of Chachapoyas, Overnight at the chosen hotel.

DAY 3: QUIOCTA AND SARCÓFAGOS DE KARAJÍA
Departure from the city of Chachapoyas to the city of Lamud then to the parking lot of the Caio de Quiocta, a five-minute walk to start our visit to the Quiocta cavern of an hour and a half. After return to the city and Lamud lunch, after lunch we will continue our journey by car one hour more to the community of Cruz Pata from where we will walk about 40 minutes down, visit the group of sarcophagi then return to our vehicle and return to the Chachapoyas city.

DAY 4: LEYMEBAMBA AND MAUSOLEO DE REVASH
Departure from the hotel to the Leymebamba museum, which is the most important interpretation center of the Chachapoyas culture, in this museum we can appreciate more than 219 mummies in perfect condition and more than 2500 artifacts between ceramics, textiles, carvings in wood, quipus (Inca accounting system), among others, that were used as offerings by the Chachapoyas, the end of our visit to the museum and then continue our journey in our vehicle to the parking lot of the mausoleums of Revash, from where it started our walk and / or horseback ride from one hour to two approximately to reach these mausoleums which date back to the 13th century AD; arrival visit and take photographs, then return to our vehicles to continue our journey to the city of Chachapoyas.
